GENERAL PRACTITIONER

Dr. Michael Lambrou

Dr. Michael Lambrou graduated from Queensland University in 1989. He worked in several hospitals, finally ending up at St Vincent's Private Hospital, Lismore, where he has worked for nearly 30 years.

Dr. Lambrou entered general practice in 2005 and divided his time between general practice and his hospital work.

Dr. Lambrou's interests, medically, include aged care and palliative and supportive medicine. Dr. Lambrou has made a change to Woodburn Health to join a dynamic and enthusiastic team that share his philosophy of providing comprehensive care to the community.

GENERAL PRACTITIONER

Dr. Stephen Middleton

Dr Stephen Middleton has been working as a Rural Generalist Doctor in regional and remote Australia as well as abroad in Ghana, West Africa and Fiji over 10 years. He continues to balance work in the local Emergency Departments and in general practice. He has a passion for healthy lifestyle, the outdoors and all sports.

Dr Middleton’s GP interests include preventative medicine, nutrition, sports medicine, men’s health, Paediatrics, chronic disease, prolonging healthy lifespans and work cover. He does not prescribe opioids or medication of dependence.

GENERAL PRACTITIONER

Dr. Brenda Omune

Dr Brenda Omune studied medicine at the University of Nairobi, she moved to Australia in 2006 to pursue further studies. Dr Brenda has called the Northern Rivers home since moving here in 2013 to complete her training in general medicine.

She has an interest in family medicine, chronic disease, and general medical. When she is not at work you will find her driving her talented children to sporting events.

GENERAL PRACTITIONER

Dr. Ann Tosomeen

Dr. Ann Tosomeen has over 25 years of experience working as a GP.  She originally trained in the USA, but has lived and worked in the Northern Rivers for the last 15 years.  She is excited to bring her experience to Woodburn Health and continue to provide care for the community.

GENERAL PRACTITIONER

Dr. Louise Wagner

Dr. Louise Wagner is a co-founder of Woodburn Health and is excited to offer exceptional health care to her community. Raised in Woodburn, Louise completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland in 2013 and is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

GENERAL PRACTITIONER

Dr. Sophie Wagner

Dr. Sophie Wagner is an experienced General Practitioner with a special interest in skin cancer management. She performs skin excisions and advanced repairs, including grafts and flaps, ensuring both effective treatment and excellent cosmetic outcomes. Dr Wagner was raised in Woodburn and is dedicated to providing thorough, patient-centred care to the community.

Dr Steph Cardy

Dr Steph Cardy completed her medical training in Sydney and Melbourne before calling the Northern Rivers home. She trained locally across a number of specialties in the public sector and general practice. 

Steph enjoys all aspects of general practice, with a growing interest in preventative healthcare. She values getting to know her patients and working with them to support their health at every stage of life. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her young family and exploring the local area.

GENERAL PRACTITIONER - Registrar

Dr Hayden Maitland

Dr Hayden grew up in Sydney and worked for a number of years as an emergency nurse in a busy trauma hospital before pursuing a career in medicine. Hayden earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Notre Dame and gained broad clinical experience across St George and Sutherland Hospitals, before working in various emergency departments across the country.

Dr Hayden is taking 12 months leave from Woodburn Health to pursue further studies in acute care medicine. We look forward to his return in February 2027.

GENERAL PRACTITIONER - Registrar

Dr Henni Feeny

Dr Henni completed her medical training in the UK before making Australia home. After working across several hospital specialties, including two years in emergency medicine, she is excited to begin general practice at Woodburn.

Henni values listening, building trust, and working alongside patients to achieve their health goals. She enjoys caring for people of all ages, with interests in women’s health, preventative care, mental health, skin health, and healthy living.

Outside the clinic, Henni enjoys being in nature and keeping active.

GENERAL PRACTITIONER - Registrar

Dr Pepe Mifsud

Dr Pepe Mifsud completed his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Wollongong and is an RACGP Registrar who has trained locally across the Northern Rivers in both hospital and general practice settings.

Pepe enjoys working with patients across all stages of life. Pepe has particular interests in mental health, chronic disease management, preventative health, and men’s health.

Outside the clinic, Pepe enjoys surfing, running, and attempting to cook delicious meals for his partner.

Dr Brenda Nguyen

Dr Brenda Nguyen completed her medical studies in Sydney and gained invaluable experience working as a junior doctor across various specialties. These experiences solidified her passion for holistic, patient-centered care and inspired her to pursue a career in general practice.

Dr Brenda is looking forward to caring for the local community and supporting patients in achieving their health and well-being goals.
